Slick
Sleuth Remote Detection Stations
(RDS) are used with the Slick Sleuth Base Station PC-Based Control System
to remotely control and monitor one or more detection locations. The Base
Station communicates with the remote stations through a bus-compatible
serial interface such as a RS485 serial interface, radio modem, or Internet
connection. The software allows the user to set the detection threshold
for each detection station and adjust sampling period and other parameters.
The user may setup and enable an email alert that can be sent to a compatible
receiving device, such as a cell phone, pager, or computer. If a detection
is made by any Remote Detection Station the software can be programmed
to send a notification to multiple locations worldwide.
Slick
Sleuth Remote Detection differs from the Slick Sleuth Autonomous Detection
Station, (ADS) which is used in industrial settings where the sensor output
feeds directly into a facilities' existing base station / control system.
